1. Who we are

WordWarren is operated by Myriad Monitor Limited ("WordWarren", "we", "us" or "our"). These Terms govern your use of the WordWarren website, apps, games, multiplayer services, accounts, digital content and related services.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity results from our failure to keep the service secure. You must not sell, transfer, share or misuse an account in a way that undermines fair play, payment controls, sanctions or another player's safety.

Player names and profile information must comply with the Community & Safety rules. We may require a player name to be changed where it is misleading, abusive, unlawful or impersonates another person or organisation.

3. Age and adult-labelled content

WordWarren is a general-audience word game. Some optional content, including Dirty Rabbits, contains adult or explicit vocabulary and is intended only for adults. Adult-labelled content must not be selected for, shown to, or used in a game with a person for whom it is inappropriate. We may use age-assurance or age-band controls where required for safety, privacy, advertising or platform compliance.

Where a child uses WordWarren, additional privacy and safety protections may apply. Parents and carers should review the Privacy Notice and Community & Safety rules.

4. The game

WordWarren is a word game whose boards, tile distributions, bonus layouts, AI behaviour, Dictionaries, Themes and optional Hidden Surprises can vary between games. The server is authoritative for legal moves, scoring, tile state, turn order, game results and access to paid content.

We may correct a game where a technical fault has created an invalid state. We will not normally alter a legitimate completed result simply because a player dislikes the outcome, a random event or an opponent's valid move.

5. Dictionaries

Standard English is the base word source. A game may enable one or more add-on Dictionaries. Where a word is valid only because of an enabled add-on Dictionary, the Dictionary word bonus is currently 2×. A word that is already valid in Standard English does not receive that add-on bonus, and overlapping add-on Dictionaries do not stack the Dictionary bonus.

Dictionaries may be updated from time to time to correct mistakes or reflect maintained factual sources. Active games may be pinned to a particular Dictionary/version so an update does not silently change a game already in progress.

6. Themes

Themes change the presentation and/or strategic rules of a game while keeping the core word-placement loop recognisable. Theme descriptions shown before purchase or game creation form part of the product description. Some Themes may be marked adult, may require Pro, or may have eligibility restrictions.

Multilingual play is not currently part of the launch service and may be introduced later.

7. Multiplayer

You can play invited players, find players, accept challenges or use Random Match where available. Matchmaking may consider game settings, pace, Theme, Dictionaries, player count, blocks and other compatibility factors. We do not promise an immediate or perfectly skill-matched opponent.

Players must not cheat, deliberately exploit faults, manipulate matchmaking, collude to distort rankings or rewards, harass opponents, evade blocks or sanctions, or use automation not provided or expressly permitted by WordWarren.

Games may use turn deadlines, automatic passes, resignations, lobby expiry or other inactivity rules displayed in the game/help information.

8. Pro membership

WordWarren Pro is currently offered at £12.99 per year unless a different price is clearly shown before purchase. Pro is a subscription and may renew automatically when purchased through a channel that supports automatic renewal. The checkout screen will show the applicable renewal arrangements.

A first-time direct Pro joining offer currently includes the right to choose 1 Theme and 3 Dictionaries from eligible standard content. Once selected, those items remain owned if Pro later lapses. Promotional benefits may be subject to eligibility rules and are not repeatedly awarded on every renewal unless we expressly say otherwise.

9. Individual and Lifetime digital content

Standard individual Dictionaries are currently £2.99 and standard individual Themes £3.99 unless another price is displayed. Lifetime Dictionaries is currently £99 and includes eligible current and future standard Dictionaries plus one year of Pro. Lifetime Complete is currently £149 and includes eligible current and future standard Dictionaries and Themes plus two years of Pro.

"Lifetime" means for as long as WordWarren continues to provide the relevant product/service, not the lifetime of a person, device or company. Exceptional licensed, partner, premium or third-party content may be excluded where this is clearly stated before purchase.

10. Upgrade credit

Where offered, 50% of eligible previous direct spend on individual Dictionaries/Themes may be counted as an upgrade discount towards the relevant Lifetime product, subject to a maximum discount of 50% of that Lifetime product's price. The checkout calculation shown at the time of purchase is the applicable credit.

11. Warren Keys and Grow the Warren

Warren Keys are non-cash promotional unlocks. They cannot be exchanged for money, withdrawn, sold or represented as stored monetary value. Eligibility, gifting and redemption depend on the promotion that issued the Key. We may withhold or reverse referral rewards generated through fraud, self-referral schemes, duplicate accounts, chargebacks or other abuse.

12. Advertising

Free access may be supported by advertising. Pro removes third-party advertising while the subscription is active. Advertising must remain separate from game scoring and must not buy competitive advantage. Optional advertising/measurement technologies are subject to the Cookie Notice and applicable consent choices.

13. Payments

Website payments may be processed by Stripe. Purchases made through an iOS or Android app may instead be processed by Apple, Google or another platform where required. The payment provider's own terms may also apply. WordWarren does not need to receive or store your full card number when payment is handled by the payment provider.

14. Intellectual property

The WordWarren name, original software, artwork, game presentation and original content are protected by intellectual-property rights. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service and purchased digital content for normal personal gameplay.

Dictionary entries may contain factual names or material derived from separately licensed/open sources. Rights in third-party names, marks, datasets and other material remain with their respective owners. Inclusion of a factual name in a Dictionary does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

15. Availability and changes

Online games depend on internet, server and third-party services. We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We may maintain, secure, modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We will not deliberately remove paid permanent content simply to force a repurchase; however legal, licensing, security or technical circumstances may require content to be corrected, replaced or withdrawn.

16. Suspension and termination

We may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, payments, security, legal compliance or fair play. Serious abuse, fraud, threats, deliberate exploitation or repeated evasion of sanctions may lead to immediate action. Where appropriate, you can contact support to challenge a decision.

17. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to digital content and services. Nothing excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to those rights, WordWarren is provided for entertainment and we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from ordinary gameplay, temporary service interruption, loss of a game opportunity, ranking position or similar recreational outcome.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, product or commercial reasons. If a change materially affects an ongoing paid service, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users before or when it takes effect. The version/effective date at the top identifies the current terms.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, without depriving a consumer living elsewhere in the UK of mandatory protections available in their home jurisdiction. Consumers may bring proceedings in courts available to them under applicable law.
